After posting here pretty much every day for a week straight in an attempt to answer questions and clear up misconceptions, I can see this is going nowhere. You can see from the time stamp most of my responses were completed after midnight after a couple hours to type them out. Back up @ 5:30 AM to work and then I see that the other side is demanding answers less than 24 hrs after my last response. My responses were all honest answers, to the questions I felt were the most urgent. Out of all the accusations, the only one that I considered to have any validity would be the gas supply for the CT, yet when I attempt to agree and explain that, I'm accused of twisting words because I said pressure instead of volume the second time I discussed it and then taunted over my plumbing ability. Please read my response, where ever it was, but I think I cleared that up and still stand by all of my statements. I will not come here to be beat with the stupid stick any more. I know in my heart that ALL of the decisions I have made were with the best interest of the LL&P ratepayers and Employees. Anyone that needs to contact me may use my email or cell # but I will not be back to your site. Carry On Greg Canfield

To all of those reading this thread. I completely expected this action, I just didn't know when. Once Mr. Canfield could not factually answer the big questions he decides to bow out of the conversation. First we proved, with facts that LL&P, under the direction of Greg Pierce, should have know about the emission laws over a full year before investing a quarter million into three decommissioned generators. Secondly, with his last response, he admits that a constant supply of fuel in the form of natural gas is not possible. This lack of fuel was brought to their attention by a hired engineer BEFORE the purchased the combustion generators. Third, LL&P bought these two generators to produce power full time. Now they have recanted that statement and are now claiming that they were purchased for an emergency and for peak load times. This means LL&P spent over $2,000,000 yes over two million dollars on two generators that might be ran one day a year! What is the payback on this investment, 500 years??? Fourth, they did not provide any exact cost of the two generators to anybody. Not to residents or any consumer of LL&P. The price of $1,000,000 per generator is what I pieced together from LL&P board minuets, it could be higher. Fifth, they also admitted that the new biodigester alone will not meet the federally required 10% green energy. It will make .850 megawatt. It needs at a minimum .900 to 1.3 megawatts. Mr Canfield said that they have a contract to purchase the extra green energy to meet the federal standard. LL&P claims that by law they must produce their own green energy, LIE. They currently buy all of their energy from other producers, including the required 10% green energy. They can continue to do so in the future. Mr. Canfield admitted that the MDEQ stopped construction from July to September last year because they did not have the proper air quality permit. This puts them in violation of the planning commission and city charter but nothing was done. I personally know many people who had to take structures down because they were in violation but it seems the city can turn a blind eye to one of their own!!! They broke city charter law, end of story.
Now they are once again spreading, what I call damage control, fliers to every resident and LL&P consumer using tax dollars and fees paid by you in your electric bill.
I don't know what some people's tolerance is to these actions. Mine has hit it's limit. I am going to start to demand the removal of Greg Pierce and ask for the resignation of the LL&P board members starting with Mr. Canfield. 2.25 million wasted and he still claims that Greg Pierce is our best choice to lead our LL&P. That is ridiculous. Canfield would never run his own company that way or he would be out of business. But when they can force you to pay your electrical bills because their is no other option, then you can waste huge amounts of money with no consequences.
One last thing, where is the city council??? The mayor sits in every board meeting so he knows exactly what is going on. If the council won't do anything then LL&p are free to do anything they want. We don't vote them in so we can't vote them out. I guess that means we need to vote out the council members and get some in there that will take control of the situation.
Oh, if you are reading this Greg Canfield I want to clear one more thing up. This whole pressure volume thing. Go back and read what I wrote before you make incorrect accusations about me. I said that increasing pressure to the turbines will not make a bit of difference to SUPPLY volume and if you didn't get that I said SUPPLY volume. If a darn gas main can only supply you with a certain CFM (cubic feet per minute) then that is it. You can put 100 compressors on the end of that main and you will not increase volume. Unless you are smarter than Einstein and have figured out how to break the laws physics. So yes you better go back to plumbing school because it applies to water too!
